I had no idea why wasn't starting too, I am admin (yet win7 have faced many admin issues through its history so far) and was getting mssg. I started the wamp server but the services would not start (MYSQL and Apache). I now switched off the laptop and logged-in using another user account (not administrator). Yes, I already know this thread is old, but new to me.so, I have IIS running since have been fooling around with the environment of having my own server and running these WAMP services under my paid hosting same features yet not on Apache.
